Patterns is a multi-purpose event space, cocktail bar and nightclub located opposite the iconic Brighton pier on the seafront. Built on the former site of a 1920’s hotel, the recent refurbishment of Upstairs pays homage to its Art Deco roots with original stained-glass windows and exposed brickwork, complemented by warm cedar panelling and modern dashes of colour. From the Ohm sound system to the diamond-polished shell floor, everything has been carefully thought out and custom-designed to create a unique, spacious venue full of character and light.
The venue also has two stunning sea-view flats directly above the venue and is fast becoming a favourite wedding venue for Brighton’s alternative couples. On its doorstep is our sea-facing terrace, decorated this summer with a tasteful nod to poolside Miami. It’s the perfect sun-soaked spot from which to observe Brighton’s bustling seafront – accompanied by cold drinks, a sizzling BBQ and live acoustic sets. Downstairs is a world-class live performance space renowned for its programme of internationally acclaimed bands and DJs and is kitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and lighting rig to match. Both floors are furnished with bars featuring an eclectic menu of local and international craft beers, wines and cocktails. We work alongside Brighton’s favourite Hell’s Kitchen and Secret Service Events to provide a fresh, modern food menu for our private functions – but external catering is often permitted.
It might not be on a rooftop, but hipster hangout Patterns boasts one of the coolest outdoor spots in the city Evening Standard
With carefully curated line-ups and an intimate vibe, you’d be silly not to check out what Patterns has to offer in the near future. Mixmag
